Welcome to the new NEDT.org blog! We’re excited to provide more resources and education for people wanting to learn about how they can manage and dispose of hazardous household waste in easy but environmentally conscious ways. In this first post, we’ll be looking at how this blog can be used as a resource, as well as all the current helpful resources you can find on our site. Let’s dive in!
What This New Blog Is For
Here at NEDT, we believe that you should buy only what you need, use up what you have, and recycle any leftovers. Not only will we be tackling the most common hazardous waste in households, but we’ll also be looking at how you can make informed decisions on what you buy, what you throw away, and how to keep yourself and your family safe when dealing with hazardous products. We’ll also cover environmental issues and events, from local Massachusetts Arbor Day festivities to national and worldwide news.
Hazardous Waste Resources Already Here
While we’re looking forward to sharing with you new content to educate yourself on household hazardous waste and tips to keep you safe, it’s important to note there’s already a lot of content on the site that does just that. Check them all out below:
- NEDT Fact Sheets: We’ve got a PDF library of important information on some of the most common household hazardous waste. Check them out for info and tips on handling, using, and disposing of everything from paint to CRT monitors.
- What We Accept: We have an exhaustive list of products we do and do not accept, including options to deal with edge cases like Small Quantity MA Commercial Generators (VSQG).
- Full Price List: We’ve got our complete price list online, so you get better estimate costs. We believe this transparency allows customers to make more informed decisions and compare their options.
And that about wraps it up for our first blog. Thank you for reading. Of course, there’s one more big resource: our staff! If you’ve got any questions, give us a call at 1 (866) 769-1621 or contact us online here. The NEDT Household Hazardous Products Collection Centers located in Sutton and Westfield, MA are permitted to accept household hazardous products from residents of any municipality in Massachusetts and certain adjoining states.
